A space to arrive,
exactly as you are.
Gently tend to the nervous system through breathwork, embodiment, and quiet inquiry. No fixing, no performing, no rushing.
What does breathwork look like here?
Breathwork is often sold as a tool for 'hacking' the body or reaching an intense peak. Here, I approach the breath differently. The breath is used as a bridge back to yourself. It's a slow, somatic conversation with your nervous system. It's an opportunity to soften where you’ve felt braced and to listen to what your body is carrying, without the pressure to change it immediately.

About Me.
Hi, I’m Christen — most people call me CC. This is This Is The CC: a space rooted in safety, conscious connection, and coming back home to yourself.
My Approach
I guide people through breathwork, nervous system regulation, and embodied self-inquiry. I hold space for those who are ready to listen to themselves, rather than push, fix, or perform.
“Nothing forced. Nothing performative. Just making space to feel what’s actually present within the body.”
My Journey
I discovered breathwork while recovering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in 2022. Breath became a way back. Back to regulation, self-trust, and safety.
This experience inspired me to leave my work in environmental science and train as a trauma-informed Introspective Breathwork® facilitator. After a pause for integration, I’ve returned to environmental work part-time, allowing it to unfold sustainably.
My Philosophy
I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be vulnerable. And healing happens when that vulnerability is met with presence, reflection, and no judgment. Trauma doesn’t break us, it fragments the true self, leaving parts within just waiting to be acknowledged.
In safe, intentional spaces, these pieces can be reclaimed and integrated, which allows us to fully return to who we already are.
How I Work
I draw from breathwork and other supportive, somatic practices, always tuned to what feels right in the moment. Sessions are offered in-person in Palm Harbor, Florida, or virtually, creating space to reconnect with your body, mind, and breath.
Education
My work is informed by both scientific training and lived experience, bridging analytical understanding with embodied practice.

Introspective Breathwork® Therapy (IBT) Facilitator
One Breath Institute
Before moving into breathwork facilitation, I worked for several years in environmental science and ecology, supporting civil and conservation projects through field research, environmental assessments, and coordination with state and federal agencies. My background in botany and ecological systems shaped the way I understand the body - as an interconnected, adaptive system that responds to its environment over time. This lens continues to inform my work, grounding it in observation, patience, and respect for natural processes rather than quick fixes.
I am a certified, trauma-informed Introspective Breathwork® Therapy facilitator trained through One Breath Institute. This is an in-depth, multi-year program that includes ongoing education, supervised practice, and annual in-person immersive trainings. The work emphasizes nervous system awareness, embodied inquiry, consent-based and ethical facilitation. One Breathe Institute teaches their facilitators to support clients in accessing their own inner guidance rather than imposing interpretations or agendas. My education is ongoing to become a global practitioner, and I remain committed to learning, refinement, and ethical practice.
Ways to Work Together
The work I offer is not one-size-fits-all. These are different ways to explore breathwork and embodied support, depending on what feels right for you in this moment. You’re welcome to take your time, ask questions, or simply notice what resonates.
Monthly In-Person Breathwork Workshops
These small, in-person workshops offer a shared yet spacious environment to explore Introspective Breathwork Therapy (IBT) alongside other somatic and grounding practices. Each workshop is guided with an emphasis on safety, choice, and nervous system awareness, allowing you to move at your own pace while being supported in community.
Group sessions can be a gentle entry point into breathwork or a steady place to return to for regulation, reflection, and connection - without pressure to share or perform.
Private Breathwork Sessions
Private sessions offer a more personalized space to explore breathwork with individual attention and pacing. These sessions are shaped collaboratively, guided by your intentions, needs, and nervous system capacity in the moment.
One-on-one breathwork can be especially supportive if you’re navigating chronic stress, sensitive material, or simply prefer a quieter, more contained environment. There is no expectation to arrive with a goal, curiosity and honesty are enough.
For those who feel drawn to meet regularly, ongoing sessions offer continuity and rhythm rather than a fixed plan. We allow the work to unfold over time, adjusting as needed and honoring the natural ebb and flow of the healing process.
At-Home Support
I am slowly developing online and recorded offerings for those who prefer to explore breathwork from home or at their own pace. These will be shared as they become available, with the same emphasis on gentleness, choice, and nervous system awareness. I currently facilitate an online community space through Facebook that offers resources and connection in a safe and well-moderated space.
Connection Calls
If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to book a complimentary 30-minute connection call with me. You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for. If something here feels resonant, that’s enough to start a conversation.
