Hi, I’m Christen, but most people call me ‘CC.’ I’m deeply passionate about conscious connection, empowerment, and self-healing. I became a trauma-informed Introspective Breathwork® Therapy facilitator because I love that it honors the body’s natural wisdom while empowering you to take control of your own healing. I truly believe that all the answers and healing we need are already within us, and breathwork provides a bridge to access the valuable information stored in our bodies.

I discovered breathwork during my recovery from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in 2021. Through this practice, I was able to manage my symptoms, reconnect with my authentic self, process childhood trauma, and regulate my nervous system. My experience was so transformative that I decided to devote myself to a 2-year breathwork training program to share this opportunity with others.

Breathwork has changed my life in countless ways. It has strengthened my confidence in my intuition, healed my body, helped me feel safe, and connected me with incredible people. It’s amazing to reflect on my own healing journey and see how far I’ve come. What’s even more satisfying is witnessing others as they embark on their own journeys of coming home to themselves.

I strongly believe in the benefits of Introspective Breathwork™ Therapy as a powerful tool for guidance and self-healing. I recognize that different practices may be needed at various stages of healing, so I tune in to integrate a variety of approaches into my work. My goal is to help clients find their inner voice and empower them to take control of their own lives. I’m committed to being patient and supportive throughout the healing journey, providing a safe and trusted environment to explore the inner world.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious connected breathing is a powerful therapeutic practice that helps you access the subconscious, release stored emotions, and heal from trauma. It also strengthens your connection with your inner wisdom. This breathwork is best done with a trauma-informed facilitator to safely guide you through any challenging emotions that may arise. The technique involves continuous, rhythmic breathing through the mouth without pauses between inhales and exhales. This intentional pattern is designed to expand your awareness, activate your body’s natural healing abilities, and deepen emotional and spiritual insight.

How is Introspective Breathwork® Therapy different from other styles of conscious connected breathwork?

There are many styles of conscious connected breathing, with holotropic breathwork being one of the most well-known. Introspective Breathwork® Therapy offers a gentler, more intuitive approach. This method encourages you to tune in to the natural rhythm of your breath and body, allowing your breath to guide you rather than following a set pace. Introspective breathwork gives the option to avoid intense, forced breathing, making it a safer option for those who may not be ready for such activation. This practice meets you where you are, giving you the freedom to explore different breathing speeds without pressure. Whether breathing fast or slow, you still receive the same powerful benefits, deepening your connection with your inner self in a way that feels right for you in a safe environment.
